If you are testing from the day your period is due, you can do so at any time of the day. Remove the test stick from its protective packaging and then remove the blue cap. Perform the test immediately. Hold the absorbent tip under the urine stream for 5–7 seconds, or dip it for 20 seconds in a urine sample collected in a clean, dry container. Keep the absorbent tip pointing downward or lay the test flat on a horizontal surface. Wait 1–5 minutes for the result to appear.
